In recent times, we have had a plethora of actors such as Will Smith, Ryan Reynolds, Brad Pitt, and even Tom Cruise when we talk about top actors in Hollywood. However, back in the 80s and 90s, only two names made the rounds in the industry: Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone. This acting duo was the talk of the town and were two of the most popular action stars back in the day. And we are no strangers to the intense rivalry that existed between Schwarzenegger and Stallone. The 1980s were the peak time when we witnessed the two giving back-to-back hits to the audience. However, despite the ferocious rivalry between the two, Schwarzenegger previously proved how it was all in good spirits.

Throughout their careers, both Schwarzenegger and Stallone gave the audience some of the most memorable action films. Both stars even appeared in a number of films together as well. While there certainly existed a healthy competition between the two, both have deep admiration and respect for each other. And previously Schwarzenegger proved his loyalty to Stallone.

As reported by VanityFair, the Austrian Oak apparently revealed that he would have not starred in The Expendables series without the Rambo star. Schwarzenegger revealed, “There is no ‘Expendables’ without Sly. I would never do the movie without him, no.”

Elsewhere, the Kindergarten Cop actor also mentioned how the first and second parts of the movie were incredibly well written. However, Schwarzenegger also made a revelation that he was not a big fan of the third installment of the movie. Schwarzenegger even praised Stallone and The Expendables franchise as well. The Governator credited Stallone for having good ideas.

Apart from working together on The Expendables, both Schwarzenegger and Stallone worked together on the 2013 action thriller movie Escape Plan as well.
